I went to this church for most of my life. Moving away for study and experiencing other Christian faith communities highlighted to me what a beautiful gem of a church Atawhai Community Church is. They are warm and loving and are committed to discipleship and walking the journey with all who come to it's doors. You always know you are cared for and loved. They exemplify the love of Christ through all they do and I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a faith community.
Atawhai Community Church is my local church which I attend weekly, depending on whether I am at home, or away at sea working on a Deep Sea Fishing Vessel for up to 12 weeks at a time. With a six period spent on land, which we as fishermen call a six weeks holiday while still getting paid for the six weeks we have off. The thing that I Love About The Atawhai Community Church is that, it is a family orientated church, which treats everyone as part of our wider family. It has a Friendly Atmosphere where everyone is Welcomed and made to feel as part of the family where the NO 2 Focus Is To Share The Love That We Have Towards One Another Through The Love Shown Towards Us By Our Father In Heaven. The No1 Focus Is To Come Together As A Church Family Each And Every Sunday Celebrating The Life And History Of Our Heavenly Father, And, His Son Jesus Christ. Then Sharing The Good News Of God's Word With The People Within Our Community And, Further Afield. Therefore, if you are looking for a Great Place To Meet And Spend Time Sharing Your Life Experiences Over A Cup Of Coffee, Tea, And Cake, Please Feel Free To Meet With Great People At The Atawhai Community Church, Each Sunday Between 10am and 12pm.
