I went to Ellis St Auto Repairs for the first time, without an appointment, and Mike was kind enough to check my car and run a diagnostic scan to find out what was wrong. It turned out the issue was with my key, which was stopping the car from starting. Mike was incredibly kind, honest, and helpful — I truly felt at home. I really appreciate his time and support. Thank you, Mike! Highly recommended.
Mike is an absolute legend and I'm tempted to start a fan page for him! He walked into Repco on a Sunday when I was collecting a power steering pump for my vehicle that broke down in Punakaiki over the Christmas holidays. I was introduced to him and he was incredibly generous with his time. Mike spent close to an hour watching a YouTube video with me on replacing my vehicle's power steering pump, helping me collect all the tools and other parts I needed, and giving me a crash course on mechanics. When I offered to pay for the stuff he came to grab, he kindly refused. I successfully managed to replace the power steering pump, sort the serpentine belt, and bleed the power steering all thanks to Mike and the good guys at Repco. If you live anywhere close to Ellis St Auto Repairs and need a mechanic, this is the team you need to see!
