The Ellerslie Vet Clinic is a pet friendly vet clinic and we are accredited as Cat Friendly Clinic (gold accreditation). At Ellerslie Vets we encourage our clients to visit the facilities and we run an open door policy. Detailed planning is reflected in a modern state of the art Small Animal Clinic. Enter our Cat & Dog only wards, our dentistry room (separate from the preparation room and sterile surgery) to avoid bacterial spread, our Tranquility Room or the cat & dog only consultation rooms. Many pet owners appreciate the low stress level at Ellerslie Vet Clinic and are delighted by the service we offer.

We have a ventilation filter system exclusively designed for our Clinic and our sterile surgery offers the latest in LED Technology and high tech equipment. Digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray, blood machines and one of the best portable ultrasound machines on the market are offering top-level diagnostic care to you and your pet.

We are located in the heart of Ellerslie, very close to the Southern Motorway (Exit 435) and only minutes away from Mt Wellington, Remuera (please follow Ladies Mile until it turns into Main Highway), Greenlane, One Tree Hill and Penrose.

Visiting the Ellerslie Vet Clinic & Cattery is easy and safe for you and your pet with a dedicated car park at the front entrance. Our car park is fenced (except entrance), quiet and offers plenty of parking spaces including parking for disabled.

This makes it easy to get your pet in and out of the car away from dangerous traffic and terrible noise.

My bunny stopped eating and popping suddenly and lasted for two days. I brought him to this clinic. Thanks to Dr. Kathrin for saving my bunny’s life. She is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. My bunny was much better after staying at the clinic for a whole day. He started eating and popping. This clinic is one of the best clinics I have come across. Highly recommend!
After spending a lot of time at Ellerslie Vet Clinic over the last few months with a very sick Rabbit we only have positive things to say. Everything they do is in the best interest of the animal and you will be hard pressed to find a more caring, knowledgeable and considered team especially Dr Kathrin, Dr Andrea, & the amazing Della. Thank you so much for your support and help over the years, we will not forget it.
Thank you for looking after our cat wiskers. My cat have had unknown enjury we took him to nearest vet clinic which is located in ellerslie. We been offered a cage for transportation of our cat. Our boy has been looked after by Dr Andrea Wong. I personally learned a lot from her about our cat, doctor Wong examine Wiskers and after giving him right medication , our cat got well following day.
The staff and owners here are fantastic. They treat you better than family. The animals are well cared for from the minute they come through the door. Any cat staying in the cattery gets lots of love throughout the day.
The last four months have been incredibly sad as we have had to farewell two deeply loved furry members of our family. One was anticipated but the second was completely unexpected. In both instances the team at Ellerslie Veterinary Clinic treated us with patience and understanding. The respect shown to our animals before and after by Dr. Emer will always be remembered and the care and compassion of all the staff during such sad times, always appreciated. Our wee friends were treated with expertise and care in life and in death.
We couldn't have had a better experience & were so blown away by the true care, compassion and just all round expertise. The kindest people you could meet, who truly care about both pets and people that walk through the door. This vet clinic went above and beyond for my 5month old border collie pup when we both got hit by a car on foot. They were very vigilant and took the best care of cody and were in frequent contact with myself and my family so we knew he was in good hands. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Terrible place, I never ever in my life abused anyone or been accused of doing so. It was really shocking that business can accused somebody like this - I questioned their practice but abused a staff??? I emailed them twice only not even called or had actual conversation. Not sure what can be done on defamatory claim as this is extremely disturbing. I would not go there again or if you are go please check for alternative option for prescription. They charged almost three time over the price of boxed medicine not antibiotics or similar that goes by tables and can be expensive or imported that you can order from any Vet shop with prescription. Easotic Ear Medication 10ml cost 38$ from the Vet shop and Ellerslie charged us 88$. When I questioned them - explanation was they provide advice on how to use it and monitor health of the pet but they also charged consultation fees for each visit so it does not sound honest to me. Very dishonest practice. My last visit there.
