I am a new student first/second day and felt disappointed by the lack of welcome and no school tour. I struggled to find my classes. There are no lockers, so I have to carry heavy books every day, which has caused shoulder pain. The toilets are very dirty and can’t use it alot.
This school is pretty good, it teaches you the things you need to know. The people there overall are nice, of course you get a few exceptions. The worst thing is the communication. You don't know what's happening because no one tells you anything.nThe toilets are another let down, because there aren't many and some are in very poor condition. One in the hall reminds me of a prison.nCurrently the playground is non-existent, though hopefully it will change. There isn't much places to sit during lunch, and now that I think about it, there isn't much to do at all during lunch. It would be nice if the school invested in at least a few things to keep the students entertained.nAnyways enough of the negatives, let's finish on a good note.nThere are a few teachers who have been exceptional and have really made me want to learn more. The best teacher is the one who inspires you to learn outside of school.nElim's Christian character really makes me feel welcome and safe at the school.nAnd you've got to love the vending machine.nOverall the school is good, even though it has a few flaws, but in a few years it won’t be my problem anymore and so I’m writing this review in hope for the school not to change only now but for the future.
An amazing school! The staff are fantastic, my kids are thriving academically. The school is its own little village, with a warm, welcoming community of families passionate about their children’s holistic development and faith. With a culture of reflection and improvement, Elim Mt Albert just keeps getting better.
My daughter joined school for the first time in Year 13. The small classes were very helpful. The teachers were attentive, excellent and engaged. Pastoral care was top notch and the school provided a great social environment. Leadership, sports and cultural opportunities were easily accessible in a welcoming supportive environment. My daughter got excellent NCEA Level 3 grades.
