My wife, Emalee and I just built our first custom home with Elevate. Building a house takes hard work – a lot of hard work. This team, that’s like one big family has heart and passion for the tough jobs they do. They go with the punches of new construction and keep a positive attitude while dealing with any twists and turns. It showed throughout our build journey together and in the final product – our absolutely beautiful Blanca home. From the owner, Sean himself jumping in all the time even when he had an entire business to run and always being there with thoughtful insight. To Devin and Parker being on the constant go doing everything they could to get what the house needed or what we wanted for customizations. To Randy for keeping things light and happy and being a good listener. To Sara for staying vigilant with the city. To Alli for keeping up with all of our emails and upgrades. And to Jim for all the support and kindness through it all. I could go on with so many names that made an incredible impact. Everyone is genuine, extremely hard working and we’re glad to have gotten to know the whole crew! As Emalee & I finally hold the keys in hand, I want to say an enormous thank you to Elevate Design + Build for creating a home that we can be so proud to call ours.Service: Home building
I had a terrible experience with this construction company. Not only did they do subpar work on the actual project, but they also caused significant damage to my home. The deep foundation they dug near my house was left unsupported for 7 months, leading to soil leaks and compromising the foundation of my home. They also ran over my gutters and showed no regard for the value of my property. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would advise others to be cautious if considering working with them. Edit in response to owner: I took a look at google map photos and you are correct. The balcony post was partly angled before you began work. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I have removed the duplicate one-star review; that was not fair of me. Three things that remain a frustration to my family: 1. As I brought issues to your team's attention, issues involving A: the replacement retaining wall that leaks large deposits of soil. B: Issues involving a non-responsive project manager who didn't answer any emails until i communicated that I wanted to contact your insurance company. C: Issue with your construction crew that broke ground 2 feet from the foundation of our home and for roughly 7 months built nothing in it's place. We never heard anyone apologize and accept responsibility for ANY lack of excellence or professionalism. We got the cliche politician deflecting apology "we're sorry the city didn't allow us to build a retaining wall sooner". Every mistake we perceived and frustration we shared was met with either gaslighting and/or deflecting blame to another party. Based on previous conversation, we saw no evidence that you would accept any responsibility for damages Elevate had caused. [the primary reason we thought we'd need to take legal action against you] Yes. The city prevented you from building the retaining wall sooner; but why did you need to dig BEFORE having the city's permission to build a retaining wall in the void that you'd be creating. A simple "I'm sorry we dropped the ball and we want to do right by you by __________" would go a long way. We no longer plan to involve an attorney since clearly there was at least one issueour largest concern that I thought you caused that had in actuality, already existed before you broke ground. You have added value to our neighborhood and by proxy to our home by building in our area. The value you've added by building in our neighborhood subtracted by the damaged we believe was caused to our home in the process may come close to net zero. I can be ok with that. Not ideal; but ok.
We had a great experience building our home with Elevate! No build is without issues and problems, but it’s how your builder addresses these issues and fixes them that makes the difference. Elevate was very transparent with the problems that we had and worked to get them resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. The whole team put in long hours to get our house complete. We have had a few things that needed attention after closing and we have had no problems staying in contact with them and getting stuff fixed. Overall they were flexible to our needs and wants, they actually listened, had very creative design suggestions, and worked hard to make sure our project kept moving along. We started our search for a builder in Jan 2018 and completed the whole process including move-in by the end of September. I’m happy to chat with any prospective clients to give you my $.02 on the building process with Elevate. I think their selection process stands out from the competition as being easier and less stressful.
