What a lovely spot giving the chance to step into another world. The moment you open the door it just feels like you're in the right place for some fun. Others have indicated the food is devine, and I must agree with them. Our meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff welcoming and attentive. But wait, there's more! The atmosphere is very Mexican and if you come on Friday or Saturday they have live music. That we missed out on, but I'm sure it'd only add to the fun. Also Tuesday night from 6 to 9pm they have Free Salsa dancing, and I can only imagine what a fun night that would be. So this is a wonderful and different place with great food. Thoroughly recommended.
Amazing food including lots of vegetarian options, great value for the price with huge portions, and very friendly atmosphere with lovely people. The roasted corn was especially good as well as the veggie tacos, also pictured. Would definitely return next time I’m in Rotorua!
There were a few reasons I’m giving a 3 score here. I got the Paella and it was too dry compared to all the Paella I had tried before. The other thing is they served water in an empty tequila bottle, which is fun in the first look, but then you need to make sure kids understand that it’s not always ok to drink out of those bottles. Also on the TV they were showing Jamie Oliver program where they cooked squids alive and ate them half alive. I understand this is not a bad thing, but definitely not a good experience for little ones who get concerned about cooking live animals. The food took very long to be served, which is partly acceptable for a busy Saturday night, but still the wait was more than expected. Otherwise, we enjoyed the food and the experience.
Was super tasty!!! I would highly recommend was definitely worth every cent. My sister has said this is the best Mexican restaurant in town and definitely did not disappoint. We will be back
Incredible Frozen Majeritas, best in town. Delicious food. Andrew, Chris and owner were so lovely and welcoming. The place is just amazing all round and have live entertainment on selected nights.
Ordered fried calamari and spicy pepper as starter, then one enchilada of stewed pork as main dish. The pork tasted like hamburger in Xi’an. Very tasty.
Always a good time, you can't go wrong here. The food is excellent, the service is top notch, and there are salsa classes on Tuesday nights. We got a treat of live music on the Saturday night from the owner's son. Can't recommend this place highly enough for a good time in Rotorua.
My cousin and I were in Rotorua for my birthday trip and we had dinner here after Hell's Gate. I wish I had come here for my birthday dinner rather than the place we ended up going to the next night. As you can see from the photo of my burrito we would've been fine sharing one rather than having one each. It is huge not to mention tasty and very filling. Loved my chocolate cocktail shake as well. Looking forward to going back when I'm in Rotorua again!
Great place, some of the best Mexican food I've eaten, the wife and husband are really nice and care about their food, we had a great time! Only wish their spicy sauce were spicier but they have their local demographic to appeal to. If you can share, get the trio meat platter with chicken, steak and Chorizo sausage.Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious fish tacos and the bbq chicken wings were superb. The coleslaw on the side was yummy too. We had a El paso mojito which tasted great. Best food we have had in awhile now. Would highly recommend Food: 5/5
