Edo Japanese Restaurant provides diners with an authentic Japanese Cuisine experience. At the helm in the kitchen, we are proud to have Chef Toshi Uenosono, formally Owner and Chef of Sala Sala. Edo uses only the freshest and best fish, meats, poultry and vegetables. We cater to vegans and we are endorsed by the NZ Vegan society. There is plenty of choice for our gluten free customers.

Lovely service and really yummy and fresh food.

Delightful staff, lovely clean restaurant, menu is brilliant.
Really nice Japanese food. The ambience isnt super cosy and not many 2 seating tables so we usually have to sit at a four table but food is fantastic and authentic. They have a full vegan menu too which is hard to find at a Japanese restaurant! Vegan Japanese curry with croquettes is well worth a try
Delicious healthy, fresh, beautifully presented food and friendly staff. If this delightful cafe was in central city it would be humming. We will be back when next in Christchurch.
Great service. Good location. Clean and fast service. Dinner menu can be limited but good kids menu. Good sake.
Food was nice. Service good. Prices reasonable and a good range. Nice atmosphere though it might get a bit noisy and crowded when busy. We thought there were no vegetarian options but it turns out they have a separate vegetarian menu - it would be good if their regular menu mentioned this.
Nice place, good food and friendly staff. Booking is fundamental as the place is small and full most of the time. Parking off street.
