Story

Edmeades Jewellers is is three locations, both owned and operated by Royce and Anne Edmeades.

Royce manages Cambridge with the help of staff member Pauline, Anne is at Putaruru most days, and now their daughter Megan runs the Matamata store which opened in October 2013.

The original Edmeades Jewellers opened in Putaruru in 1939 by Royce's parents with Anne and Royce taking it over in the late 70s.

Edmeades Jewellery and Gifts in Cambridge opened in the early 1990s when Anne and Royce bought a jewellery business from a retiring jeweller, and joined the Giftworld franchise.

All stores have an increasing and varied range of gifts with brands and product ranges including Royal Doulton Bunnykins and crystalware, Waterford crystal, animal and horse figurines from Studio Artists and Border Fine Arts, mugs, trays and placemats from Ashdene, Jersey Pottery, Rivers Edge, Beswick, Willow Tree and Kelly Rae Roberts, Cre8ive Glass, Disney figurines, 21st keys, engagement and wedding presents.

Gifts ranges sit alongside contemporary jewellery ranges including Argenta, Evergem, Crystalp, Ellani, Pastiche, Lovelinks, Tania Tupu and Simply Italian, to name a few current ranges.

The major watch brands include Royal London, Sekonda and Casio.

Edmeades have always stood by their motto of Quality, Value, Variety and Service. Royce does engraving for many of the schools and clubs in the Putaruru and Cambridge areas. Along with this he does all clock repairs, minor watch repairs, and sentimental jewellery repairs. No job too small!
