About Adult Literacy Tamaki Auckland provides free literacy and numeracy tutoring to adults in Auckland Story We provide free literacy and numeracy tutoring in central Auckland from Pt Chevalier through Mt Roskill, Mt Wellington etc to Pakuranga – we have two busy centres in Freemans Bay and Glen Innes and provide over 25 classes as well as individual tutoring to 300+ students. Literac is not just learning to spell but encompasses succesfullly navigating daily life – including the supermarket aisle, getting a job, a drivers license, managing emails and reading to grandchildren. So we offer Computer classes, Pathways to Employment , Whanau Literacy, support to apprentices and much more. "Literacy Aotearoa Charitable Trust is a national organisation of adult literacy providers providing free education to citizens and permanent residents aged 16 years and over."
