About The Opportunity for Animals op-shops are charity stores fundraising for animals in need and a project of the Animal Protection Society. We sell good quality secondhand clothing and household goods. Story The Opportunity for Animals stores support the continuing running of the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary in Otaki. The Sanctuary is a safe space, rehabilitating abused, injured and neglected nonhuman animals – both native and introduced. Every day, hundreds of thousands of animals suffer pain and fear in intensive farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses throughout New Zealand. Countless others are neglected or abandoned.
