About The friendly and capable team at Ovio Mindful Solutions offer a range of personal and professional development services with modern, science-based mindfulness techniques at its core. We help you fully access your own clarity, wisdom and peacefulness. Story In 2008 Cheryl Strawbridge delved into mindfulness meditation to help her life coaching clients and found it massively beneficial for herself, as well as her clients. “Ovio” is from Italian “Ovvio” meaning ‘clear or obvious’. Cheryl's double major in Psychology and Biochemistry and experience in the corporate healthcare industries and life coaching, with support from experienced and respected mindfulness teachers - including Nyanaviro (Stephen Archer) - gave her the expertise to develop courses that cover both the practice and scientific aspects to mindfulness. "Teaching mindfulness feels like the most worthy way for me to be using my time — teaching people how to be more conscious and deliberate about how they live. When I was younger I protested any way I could to make the world a better place. Now I feel the most effective thing is to work one heart at a time — there is so much potential for positive change in each person, which ripples out into communities, businesses and into the world." - Cheryl Strawbridge. Demand for Ovio Courses grew quickly. Now Cheryl supports and coordinates seventeen experienced and passionate facilitators across Aotearoa to deliver impactful Ovio Mindfulness courses to businesses, organisations, leaders, schools, community groups and the general public.
