Inspiring Communities has been working since 2008 to grow the recognition, understanding and practice of community-led development and promote the difference it makes in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Community-led development helps build strong, sustaining, local communities. We are seeing it.

WHO ARE WE:

Inspiring Communities is part of a growing network of people interested in and practising community-led development and seeing its impacts and potential. Supported by a Board of Trustees, our Development Team works to support this movement, linking people from many sectors, interests and initiatives from within Aotearoa New Zealand as well as linking with those practicing internationally.

Inspiring Communities is a non-profit charitable trust. Our work has been funded by The Tindall Foundation with support from the Todd Foundation, the J R McKenzie Trust, Community Trust of Southland, BayTrust, ASB Community Trust, TSB Community Trust, Auckland Council, Call Plus, Ideas Shop and others who generously contribute time, finance, skills and resources.
