About
Jitterbugs is a small dance school setup to provide fun, low-cost dance lessons for boys and girls aged 3 - 12 years.

Story
I started Jitterbugs after hearing from a lot of parents that their children loved dancing, but it was too expensive and they couldn't always be bothered with the stress of the end of year shows. I started out in February 2011 with around 10 students and have since grown to over 190 students, thanks mainly to the word-of-mouth of parents.

I absolutely love what I do and hopefully this shows in my enthusiasm at dancing and towards the kids.

Instructor Experience: I have over 15 years experience teaching a variety of aerobics classes and still currently teach at the Rec Centre gym at the University once a week and have my own JitterFit aerobics session on a Monday night at Rototuna Junior High School.  I also did tap dancing for 7 years in my younger days which incorporated Jazz style moves, which i use in my dance routines. I am a qualified Chartered Accountant and have my own Accountancy business working from home part-time. The dancing started out as a small hobby, but now consumes more time than my accountancy work, but I love every minute of it!! I have two children, Cameron 12, Paige 9, and a very supportive husband and if it wasn't for their help and support I wouldn't being doing everything i do!
