About Tiny Footsteps is a great little place. Our unique outdoor space and amazing teachers - great for your child! Story The Montessori approach begins with a great respect for the potential of each child and an environment specially prepared with this in mind. There is order, variety and choice in the prepared environment with activities ranging from simple to more complex. The cognitive or intellectual, physical, social, emotional and spiritual developmental needs of each child are recognized in preparing the environment, for children to experience the joy of learning. Children learn to work alongside each other and respect each other’s choice and work. With the teacher’s guidance and supervision children learn to become self-motivated and are able to choose their own work and take responsibility for completing and putting it away so it is ready for the next person.
