Hinterland Foods was founded by friends raised in rural New Zealand, and forged out of a shared vision to bring farmers closer to food lovers everywhere

Story

The farmers of our hinterlands are true connoisseurs of what they grow.

Did you know that all produce isn’t created equal? That harvesting one day earlier can affect how food tastes? That the pasture an animal grazes can impact it's flavour?

A farmer does.

Hinterland Foods was founded by friends born and raised in rural New Zealand, and forged out of a shared vision to bring farmers closer to food lovers everywhere, and infect more people with a passion for fresh seasonal produce.

Along the way we also hope to help reduce the modern tragedy of food waste.

All our fresh produce is grown by farmers from the ‘Land of the Long White Cloud’ New Zealand, a place known for its high quality foods around the globe, and because we follow the seasons we do not currently guarantee year round stock of any items. Just as farmers do, we work with not against the seasons.
