About Massage therapy Story Young’s Massage Therapy is a sole proprietorship owned by John W Young, BTSM, BSR. Young completed a Bachelor of Therapeutic and Sports Massage (2009) and a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation (2011) at Southern Institute of Technology. During his time as a Massage Therapist, he has worked on a variety of athletes, sports and other clients. Some of these are: • Fight for Kids 2008 and 2010 • Highlanders 2010-2012 • Invercargill Blues Rugby Club 2008-2011 • North Harbour ITM Cup Rugby Team 2011 • Kepler Challenge 2008-2011 • Lone Star Cowboys R.L.C 2011 and 2012 • New Zealand Females Black Sticks 2009 • Southland Rams 2011 • Southland Stag’s Development 2011 • Southland Times Tour of Southland Team 2011 • Sycamore Print Tour of Southland Team 2008 and 2010 Young’s massage therapy offer massage in a variety of styles - traditional Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue work, Sports Massage, and Trigger Point Therapy. John Young specializing in rehabilitation from sport injuries and chronic conditions, but will also work with clients with other needs. John also works as a personal trainer at Advance Fitness Club.
