About I am Marlene Trounson, a Carver having completed a Diploma in Jade & Hard Stone Carving. also Jewellery from natural gemstones and freshwater pearls. Story I studied Jade and Hard Stone Carving at Tai Poutini Polytechnic 2013/2014 with Ric Moor and Sheryl Warren, attaining my Diploma in Jade and Hard Stone Carving. I have now set up a carving studio to produce my designs. I mainly carve out of New Zealand Jade. I have made Freshwater Pearl, Paua and Natural Gemstone Jewellery for around 15 years so this was a natural progression into my carving.
