About Annual Pirongia Craft Day will be held on Sunday 29 September, 9am to 3pm. Story The Annual Pirongia Craft Day is held in Pirongia’s main street, Franklin Street. It is organized by a volunteer committee of dedicated local arts and craftspeople who endeavor to keep the original theme of "NZ Handmade or Homegrown". The road is closed from 6am when over 200 pre-allocated and paid for sites will be set up. Stallholders are “open for business” from 9 am to 3 pm creating a unique vibrant, friendly village atmosphere. The road re-opens at 4 pm. Come along for a fabulous day out - please leave dogs at home, thanks:)
