About A place for young people aged Year 7 upwards A facility of North Otago Youth support Story A place for young people aged 11 to 25. A facility of North Otago Youth Service Youth support workers: Carly Laughton and David Hansen Description The Youth Centre is a space for the Youth of North Otago to relax and enjoy activities in a safe friendly and supervised environment. No drugs or Alcohol (or people under the influence of) are allowed on site, we also ask that people both respect the building and each other, which means we ask people not to swear, talk about inappropriate subjects or bully The Youth Centre was established October 2011 opening it as a support for the community. Afternoon sessions The Youth Centre opens three afternoons a week from 3:00pm to 5pm mondays 3pm-5pm Thursdays 3pm-5pm Fridays 3pm-8pm Also we are very pleased to offer The Youth Centre to other like minded users. IDEA services (Intellectual Disability Empowerment in Action) utilise The Youth Centre on a Sunday to run a fortnightly Youth group from 3:30pm - 6:30pm for young people in their care as a way of supporting them.
