About ComCol South Canterbury, in Timaru, offers free vocational courses for 16-19 yrs & a free youth mentoring service for 16-17 yrs. Talk to us on 0800 267 257 Story ComCol NZ opened our South Canterbury College in 1990 in a modern premises close to the centre of Timaru city. Since then we have been providing hands on, personalised training to students in a wide range of practical vocations. We provide small class sizes, lots of one on one time with tutors and lots of support to ensure that you achieve to your highest potential. All of our full time programmes are accredited by NZQA with the opportunity to complete a relevant National Certificate and we work with you to help you move into employment or further training. Programmes for 2016 include five exciting Youth Guarantee Programmes (free to eligible 16 & 19 year olds) in Cookery; Front of House; Retail/Hairdressing; Retail and Computing.
