We offer a house minding service, pet feeding and care (including horses and small farm animals) and a dog walking service.

Story
After serving 19 years for Queen and country as a police officer, it was time to leave and pursue my life long passion of working with animals.

Joined by my husband who also served as a police officer for 25 years, we established Home Safe 'n' Hounds Limited.

Our company's aim is to provide a home security and pet care service whilst you are working or away on holiday.  We also provide a daily dog walking service.

Our home security service brings with it many years of experience and the understanding of criminal behaviour and of crime prevention strategies to ensure you home is safe during your absence.

Our dog walking includes a drop-off and pickup service.  Our philosophy is quality above quantity.  We provide fun, energetic and interactive on and off lead walks within safe environments.  Your dogs are walked in groups suited to their size, breeds and personalities.

As proud owners of two miniature schnauzers, we understand the real need to ensure your pups are well socialised and exercised.

Our home pet feeding service also expands to small local farms. My personal equine experience includes owning a horse for three years, being an active member of the North Shore Mounted Police Section and many years of leisure riding.

I am also very confident around farm animals and have experience with milking cows, feeding out, and sheep and cattle mustering in the mighty South Island.

Our operating philosophy is to ensure peace of mind for our clients in all aspects of our services.
