About Avonhead Tennis Story Located in tree lined Crosbie Park, Christchurch, New Zealand. 6 courts with lights, fantastic club rooms, resident professional coach and over 200 members. Club Day is every Saturday afternoon where members are rotated around for social doubles games. Twilight Tennis is every Wednesday evening and there is also mid week sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Players may also join one of the large number of graded teams for interclub competitions. Avonhead caters for both junior interclub and non-interclub players. Interclub teams get weekly team coaching from one of Canterbury's most respected senior coaches Shane Tainui.
