About Contemporary Jewellery and Bespoke Clothing Design Story Alison Blain is well-known as an award-winning clothing designer from Wellington, specialising in glamour garments and fine tailoring. Now located in Tauranga, and one of New Zealand's best-loved jewellers, she divides her time equally between the two practices. Typically Alison will be commissioned to create garments for a special occasion, and also the jewellery to complement these. Alison's designs are feminine and sophisticated. Her gold and silver jewellery is highly sought-after, and held in private collections. For 5 years Alison exhibited at The New Zealand Jewellery Show .
