The club was based at Spreydon Domain on Doman Terrace until 2016. The Christchurch Football Academy (CFA) was created to provide all year round football for children at a world-class facility under the guidance of highly qualified coaches. What makes the Christchurch Football Academy different from other football organisations in Christchurch that their activity continues for a full year, following the NZ school term, with their own facility, staff eliminating any dependency on the council or external parties.eir own facilities and staff, which eliminates any dependency on the council or external parties. Christchurch United and the Christchurch Football Academy have merged from 2016, with the main site to be based at the Christchurch Football Centre, 466 Yaldhurst Road, Yaldhurst, Christchurch. The merger is an exciting opportunity to combine together history and innovation to create the fastest growing club in New Zealand. The Christchurch United calendar will follow the format set up the Christchurch Football Academy, following the four school terms with 4 10 week programmes throughout the year, as well as holiday camps during all school breaks.
