About Rooted in music as far back as the fifties and sixties. Radius Kink’s music is influenced by David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and Patti Smith with a touch of Punk. Story Band Bio Formed in 2006 the band has expanded and shrunk to different sizes, from a 6 piece to a duo and back to a four piece. Radius Kink challenge themselves to write, and focus on thought provoking lyrics that tell their stories, feelings and opinions. Their music has been compared to Pond, David Bowie, Jarvis Cocker, even Early Split Enz and New Zealand's own Dunedin sound of the 80s. Their live shows are reminiscent of the ‘Old School’, live performances of Patty Smith, Joan Jett and Janis Joplin with Gary's daughter, Dawn Hendrikse taking centre stage.
