About Warkworth Acupuncture, run by Acupuncturist Brenda Burke, has a team of talented therapists to help you improve and maintain your health and well-being. Nutritionist Nicole Wilson, Shiatsu Masseuse Taka Hashimoto and Hot Stone Masseuse Nick Merwood. Story Acupuncturist Brenda Burke is proud to provide her patients with exceptional acupuncture service and prepared Chinese herbal formulations. With over 15 years’ experience in private practice both in New Zealand and abroad, she provides services for all age groups on a wide range of chronic and acute conditions. Brenda is an ACC registered treatment provider. Nutritionist Nicole Wilson, from Nicole's Nutrition Kitchen, brings together years of study (including current enrollment in post-graduate study in Nutrition at Massey University) and practical application (home-cooking, café cook, gluten-free bakery owner) to give you the opportunity to have your food and nutrition questions answered. With her cooking classes she also provides a chance for you to learn some new tricks and to give you the confidence to try new things in the kitchen. Shiatsu Masseuse Taka Hashimoto, from Zen Shiatsu, has 15 years healing experience in Japan and New Zealand as a Shiatsu massage therapist and Acupuncturist. He can help range of symptoms however he is especially good at headache and migraine solution without medication. His aim as therapist is to tell people how to cure their body themselves. Not only doing treatment but also teaching some excise and advice for diet from Japanese knowledge of health. If you learn how to maintain yourself in a good shape, your natural healing ability will greatly be enhanced, and you will feel more active, free and inspired. Shiatsu Massage is done through loose clothing (preferably cotton), so is ideal for those who are shy. Hot Stone Masseuse Nick Merwood, from Light Mata Massage, is an intuitive mind, body therapist he responds to and assists your bodies innate ability of healing, he uses beautiful hot stones from a ultraviolet sterilizing cabinet in conjunction with his caring touch, to relieve muscle tension and pain releasing stored trauma from the physical allowing the mind to let go and clear any negative emotions balancing energy flow and restoring well being.
