About Premium locally sourced and hand cut food - smoking wood chunks selling nz wide direct to your door. Story Had a friend inspire me to buy an Akorn Kamado BBQ and immediately realized the price of wood chunk was on the steep side. I work in plant health and so I'm identifying trees and identifying plant pests (insects and pathogens) daily. I saw a demand for smoking woods so started this as a hobby. I believe I provide premium quality insect and disease free wood, by only selecting health branches and stems to harvest from fruit trees and other trees suitable for food smoking. All wood is hand cut and dried to under 25% wood moisture to ensure a good burn. You spend good money on meat so it should taste great!
