About High Quality Early Childhood Education Story Paraparaumu Beach Kindergarten is situated on a low-lying sandy coastal plain approximately half a kilometre from the sea. It is five kilometres from the local library, toy library and a major shopping area. There are many private kindergartens and day care centres in the area. The kindergarten serves two primary schools. We have a wonderful unique natural outdoor area our programme incorporates learning opportunities about the natural world. This includes they cycles of planting, growing, harvesting, composting, recycling and teaching the children to care for and respect their environment. We are one of 5 Early Childhood Centers in the Wellington Region to have achieved a GOLD Healthy Heart Award.
