About We are a Green Island based Engineering Company covering the greater Otago area. Story Owner/Operator, Malcolm Thomson, is a qualified Fitter/Turner with over 20 years’ experience in the trade also holding current AS/NZS 2980: 2007 welding certificates. Services are: Heavy & general engineering, welding, fabrication, machining, mechanical repairs at the Company workshop or on site as required. We have carried out work for several Companies around Dunedin & Otago including: Large scale on site pipe welding, fabrication of excavator buckets for an International Company, fabrication and repairs of underground mining equipment, manufacturing handrails and balustrades in mild steel, stainless & alloy, fabrication of light vehicle hydraulic tipping deck and heavy road transport decks, fabrication of large scale bridge beams, machining & welding of obsolete parts.
