About A small and very select vineyard in Hawkes Bay, producing a single vintage every year. Story We are a relatively new winery, founded in 2002, with our first vintage being produced in 2005. All our grapes are handpicked and our wine is barreled in French Oak. All of our wines are unusual for New Zealand, in that the prominent grape featured in each vintage is Malbec. Tironui means "great view" and this is reflected in our label, representing the view from the Vineyard, across Hawkes Bay to Cape Kidnappers in the distance. We hope you get as much pleasure in drinking our wine, as we do in producing it.
