About I am a local midwife working in a well established practice in the heart of Bayfair - Mt Maunganui, Mums & Tums. I cover Tauranga and surrounding areas. Story Hello and congratulations on your Pregnancy. My name is Caroline and I am a Registered Midwife working in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. I am married to a great supportive husband and I’m a mother to 5 great kids. I keep a small caseload to allow myself more quality time to spend with each woman and her family. I work within a small group of experienced midwives and support women who choose to birth in Tauranga Hospital and Bethlehem Birthing Centre. I am passionate about pregnancy and childbirth and believe that both are normal natural life events. I will work with a woman and her family in partnership, sharing my knowledge and promoting and protecting the normal. I feel it is a privilege to share this special journey with a woman and I will care for you throughout pregnancy, birth and up to 6 weeks in the post natal period. I work with a supportive group of midwives at Mums & Tums – we each have our own caseloads but provide backup for each other when required.
