This is the official Facebook Page for Waikato Pathways College (WPC) at the University of Waikato.

Story
Waikato Pathways College is based primarily in the LAIN and EAS buildings at the University of Waikato. We provide a wide range of services for both international and domestic students.

Our services are divided into 3 distinct strands: 
1) Academic/General English Programmes
2) Foundation and Bridging Courses
3) IELTS Testing

English language
WPC offers Academic English for students preparing for university or tertiary study in an English-speaking university.  The General English programme offers an exciting opportunity for people from around the world to learn everyday English and prepares students going into Academic English.  We can also offer customized programmes to groups.

Bridging/Foundation
The Foundation Studies Programme is a pre-degree programme specifically designed to prepare high-school graduates for degree study, where English is an additional language.

The Certificate in University Preparation programme (CUP) is for students who don't have University Entrance or who need additional academic preparation. 
Bridging programmes are non-assessed courses aimed towards students who have already attained university entrance. This range of courses are designed to prepare and/or refresh any student transitioning into tertiary study.

IELTS - International English Language Testing System
IELTS assesses the language ability of candidates  IELTS covers all four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking, and is offered in two test formats - Academic and General Training.  We are the only testing centre in the Waikato.
