About Raftabout offers awesome rafting & sledging (river boarding) in the Rotorua Area Story We have a wide range of trips to choose from. Try rafting over the worlds highest commercially rafted waterfall on the awesome Grade 5 Kaituna River. The Rangitaiki River has two sections, a grade 3 - 4 section featuring 14km of rapids and great scenery or the stunningly beautiful Grade 2 scenic trip suitable for children as young as 5. The Wairoa is a dam release river that runs selected Sundays from September to May and is the most technical of the trips we offer. We also offer Sea Kayaks and Sit on Top kayak freedom hire or tours on the local lakes, paddle to a secluded beach or enjoy a hot water swim only accessible by boat.
