About Providing 24/7 emergency response for Wellington International Airport. If you have any information or photos of AFS please email us at afs@wellingtonairport.co.nz please include the subject line as "AFS Facebook" Story AFS run a 24/7 roster of 2 day shifts (0700-1900hrs) and 2 Night shifts (1900-0700hrs) and four days off. There are 4 watches, Red, Brown, Blue and Green, each consisting of 6 crew members of which 5 are on duty at any one time. We have 26 staff consisting of: 1x Manager 4x Crew Chiefs 4x Deputy Crew Chiefs 17x Firefighters MISSION STATEMENT To assist Wellington International Airport Limited in achieving their mission and objectives, the Airport Fire Service will promote safety and provide an efficient and professional emergency service for a secure airport and environment.
