About Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle but profound hands-on treatment which supports the body's natural healing process. Products BCST appointments generally last no more than an hour for adults and usually shorter for children, babies and animals. BCST is a gentle, profound, non-invasive therapy where the client lies fully clothed on a massage table, or if more comfortable, sits on a chair. The practitioner will adopt very gentle hand holds at various points on a client's body, usually beginning under the client's ankles. The handholds enable the practitioner to have what is almost a conversation with the client's body, gaining insight in to where the client's body may have restrictions and flow. A practitioner has learnt how to sense fluid movement in the client's body. A client may feel simply a greater sense of relaxation during the session or more specifically hot and cold areas, twitches, twinges, fluctuations, emotional releases, the body self adjusting, etc depending on their own body awareness. I have had personal experience of BCST giving clients relief from headaches, hormone imbalance, anxiety, low mood, aches and pains and generally assisting in clients well-being. Contraction or holding is the instinctual way the body protects itself from further or anticipated trauma. Essentially any area of the body where there has been contraction due to anything from overwork, overwhelm through to physical or mental trauma has the potential to be supported back to health. BCST can help the body to create space and flow in areas where the movement of fluids has previously been restricted. I look forward to supporting my clients on their road to improved health.
