About We help people who want to volunteer to find suitable roles, and we work with organisations to find suitable volunteers for their needs. Key objectives: *To uphold the rights and responsibilities of volunteers *To recruit volunteers, educate them about voluntary work, and support them to assist not-for-profit organisations, charitable organisations, and people in need. *To provide and promote information and resources on volunteering *To provide training and support for organisations which involve volunteers *To increase awareness of the value of voluntary work, which is part of a wider definition of work *To promote cross cultural understanding where the unique role of tangata whenua is recognised *To operate efficiently and effectively as a model for other voluntary organisations.
