About TIA exists to lead the tourism industry and create an environment that helps our 1500+ members grow and flourish. Story Each year TIA tackles a huge variety of issues, advocating on behalf of our members, from small, owner operated holiday parks to stock exchange listed companies. We are the only independent association that represents all sectors of New Zealand’s large and diverse tourism industry. We are vocal supporters of our members and the wider industry, working to ensure tourism gets the recognition it deserves as a vital contributor to the country’s economic and social health. We lobby local and central government to shape policies and create an environment that helps our 1500 members grow and flourish. We also provide targeted assistance to individual members and sector groups. Each year we hold events aimed at addressing key industry issues. TRENZ is the industry’s flagship annual international trade event, bringing New Zealand's top tourism operators face to face with the most influential travel buyers from around the world. Our annual National Summit Aotearoa is a forum for leaders across the industry to discuss issues and opportunities and find solutions to drive the growth of our industry. TIA led development of Tourism 2025, the growth framework with an aspirational goal of almost doubling total tourism revenue to $41 billion a year by 2025. Mission Through leadership, influence and action achieve tangible benefits for the tourism industry and New Zealand. Products TIA advocates on behalf of our members and the wider tourism industry. We also provide support to individual members and groups. Member benefits include significant discounts on a wide range of products and services. We also run a range of events, including workshops and forums to boost business capability, an annual industry Summit, and TRENZ, New Zealand's largest international annual tourism trade show.
