About Taranaki Women's Refuge Story We support women and their children who have or are experiencing abuse or family violence. Our services are confidential and free. Whatever choices women make, they are assured of our ongoing support. PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer a crisis response via this page. Mission We are committed to working towards a violence-free society by supporting the rights of women and children Products When a woman's safety is at risk, we provide crisis intervention and/or emergency housing in our Safehouse. Most women who use our services are able to remain in their own homes. We provide them with information and support to make the changes that will enable them to live violence free lives. Our Social Workers are qualified professionals.
