Ensuring all Nelson boaties have access to a safe and user friendly marina, boat ramp and trailer park with excellent facilities into the future.

Story
The Nelson boating community is growing fast but much needed improvements to facilities are lagging behind. While NCC have increased the marina berths and allowed moorings to be established in the Haven, there is still a growing waiting list. The power boat, trailer sailer, rowing club, waka-ama, sea scouts and cadets, all using the boat ramp, are struggling with out dated facilities that are not only un-safe but no longer meet anyones needs. With summer queues that stretch from the ramp all the way down Akersten street its time our boating community had a voice and was heard on what we would like to see to help alleviate some of the congestion and help plan for a better future.
