About Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary is a mainland island located an easy 10 minute boat ride from Picton. Managed by volunteers, it is open to the public and home to many of New Zealand's unique forest birds. A 2.7km track with great views. Story Kaipupu Wildlife Sanctuary is a community project managed by Kaipupu Point Mainland Island Society on land which is co-owned by DOC and Port Marlborough.
