About Preschool Education and Care in Takaka, Golden Bay Story Golden Kids Inc. Early Learning Centre prides itself on providing an enriched educational environment where every child’s preschool learning is fostered and extended. Our centre’s programme has a strong emphasis on creativity, numeracy, literacy and a sense of respect and value for people, places and things. Our centre is conveniently situated in the Takaka Township and caters for children throughout the Golden Bay district. Golden Kids Inc Early Learning Centre is governed by a Board of Trustees, made up from parent representatives the Head Teacher and the Centre Administrator. Our Centre is an Incorporated Society with Inland Revenue charitable status. Mission As teachers, we believe children learn through responsive, reciprocal relationships and experiences that empower them to achieve a sense of self-worth and independence We believe in upholding the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, and in ensuring equitable opportunities for learning for all children We believe in nurturing children’s holistic development in partnership with parents/caregivers/whanau, within a safe yet challenging and educational environment.
