About A genuine boutique wine producer Story Hyperion is an authentic boutique vineyard and winery located in the beautiful Matakana region of New Zealand. The operation is run by John & Jill Crone and a few casual workers. Almost everything is done by hand and John makes all the wine in a converted cowshed winery. Mission To produce unique artisan wines from the Matakana region. Currently the Pinot Noir and pure Cabernet Sauvignon are the only ones produced from Matakana grapes.
