Swimming in his home town fresh water lake he realised there were no wetsuits available designed expressly for fresh water use - It was waiting to be made.Along with swim buddy Jamie Norman, they founded The Ruby Swim in 2015, an open water swim event in Lake Wanaka, NZ. It was out of this, that Ruby Fresh Open Water Swimming was born with the first wetsuits arriving on NZ shores in 2019."
