About We are the Largest centre of our kind in New Zealand and are the ultimate venue for church retreats, school camps, EOTC teaching, and business conferences Story We are situated in a beautiful setting, nestled at the foot of the Kaimai mountain ranges in Matamata. There are 90 acres of park-like grounds and native bush with streams, walks and bush trails. We have a large indoor sports and activity centre and breakaway relaxation areas, as well as a large hot pool fed by natural hot springs. We have beds for 427 people in 27 serviced motels, 3 lodge complexes and 19 cabins. Onsite there are also powered caravan and practically unlimited tent sites. Our resource consent allows for up to 8000 people to sleep on site. For day events we can accommodate up to 25,000 people on the Totara Springs premises. Camps and events are fully catered by our resident catering and events team and special dietary needs can be accommodated. A wide range of sports equipment is available as well as a laundry, microphones, etc. EFTPOS, wireless internet, photocopying and facsimile services are available. We have great facilities, good food, well trained staff and a fantastic atmosphere. We have a large indoor sports activity centre and breakaway relaxation areas as well as an aviary and a large hot pool fed by a natural hot spring Our accommodation comprises of 27 double, en-suite motel units, 3 self-contained lodges with a combined bed capacity of 70 beds; 18 comfortable, twelve sleeper cabins. We also have plenty of tent and caravan sites with power and ablutions on the property. Totara Springs has a modern, fully equipped commercial kitchen and trained staff. Meals are served in various dining facilities we have on site. Catering is available 7 days a week, and we can provide for special dietary needs by prior arrangement. All meals are well prepared and nutritious. Our Activites include: Abseiling, Adventure Run, Archery, Aviary, BMX, Bouncy Castle, Burma Trail, Canadian Waterslide, Crate Climb, Flying Fox, Flying Kiwi, Freetime Equipment, Frisbee Golf, Foam Slide, Go Karts, Hot Pool, Human Foosball, Hydroslide, Indoor Rock Wall, Initiative, Kayaks, Low Ropes Course, Mini Golf, Orienteering, Outdoor Cooking, Raft Building, Slingshot Paintball, Slug Guns, Sports Fields, Swimming Holes, Team Rescue, Top Town, Tramping, Water Slide We are now registered as an Adventure Activity Operator (AAO) with Worksafe NZ. The regulations aim to enhance professionalism and ensure consistent good practice across the AAO sector.
