About High Quality Early Childhood Education Story Enrolling now...2, 3 and 4 Year Old Children. We have a large purpose built building, an extensive playground, and are well resourced with quality equipment. Children and their families have the opportunity to participate in Kapa Haka sessions each week. Children create their own Korowai for their 5th Birthday, which they get to keep as a Taonga (treasure) as we celebrate their journey at Kindergarten before they start school. Along with engaging with us about your child’s learning we invite you to become involved in our kindergarten community. You are welcome to stay during our sessions and spend time with the children. There is always tea and coffee available so feel free to help yourself. Parents are welcome to spend time at Kindergarten with their children. Along with this we value your ideas and feedback. We support the Before School Check health programme. Their co-ordinators come into kindergarten to carry out their checks in the year prior to each child going to school. Our Kaiako (teachers) meet with other Early Childhood Education Teachers and Junior School Teachers to support children and their families to transition to school. The Heart Foundation guide us with our Healthy Eating focus.
