About Mount Linton Station is a 12,145 ha property located at Ohai in western southland at the base of the Takitimu ranges. It runs sheep & cattle (104,000 SU). Story Mount Linton is one of the largest privately owned sheep and beef stations in New Zealand. It is a beautifully balanced property, ranging from intensive paddock country to developed hill country and native tussock hill country. Its biggest asset is its people, both current and past. As leaders in animal production systems on a large scale, Mount Linton is focused on producing genetics that survive and thrive in a difficult climate and produce a quality product for the end consumer.
