About The Takitimu District Pool is located in Ohai. Entrance to the Pool is via a Key Pool Tag system which give access during the hours of 0530 - 2200 hours. Story The Ohai/Nightcaps area is very proud of its large (33 metre) heated, covered pool. It is open for use during daylight hours from early November through to March. Sliding doors allow the pool area to be opened out to a relaxing, enjoyable outdoor garden. The pool is enjoyed immensely by both the children and the 'young at heart'. Alternatively, family, couple or single keys can be purchased seasonally, providing users with unlimited use during daylight hours. If you wish to purchase a key contact either Katrina Thomas (Wreys Bush) 0274 854 395 or Asha Carr (Ohai)021 915309 The pool facility can also be hired, a popular option for children's parties. $25 for the first hour, $20 per hour after that. Swimming Club - The Ohai/Nightcaps area also has a very active swimming club. This is a great way to build confidence in the water and improve swimming skills. Many volunteers also donate their time to help maintain and manage this wonderful facility. We are also looking for volunteers to operate the Boiler, clean and change the chlorine.
