About Stewart Island Smoked Salmon Story Our Salmon is sourced from the pure waters of Big Glory Bay, Stewart Island, where Sanford's two salmon farms produce some of the finest Pacific-King salmon. It then travels from the Bay to our kitchen ("The Shed"), just above Halfmoon Bay on Stewart Island, where it is smoked on site - so freshness is guaranteed.
