With an extensive background in the food industry in both New Zealand and Australia, Kirstie comes with an impressive appreciation for exemplary standards.  Kirstie Jane Cakes was born out of a wish to provide innovative, creative cakes, Cakes Made With Love, that truly catered for a market that was looking for something different!  Kirstie grew up with a passion for food.  Brought up in the Bay of Plenty Kirstie decided to travel to Australia where she lived for over 15 years.  Living and working on the Hawkesbury River Kirstie embarked on her first entrepreneurial venture of setting up a Mobile Catering Business. After the success of this venture she gained a wide variety of experience in the Ala Carte Restaurant game.  After moving back to New Zealand, Kirstie gained Level 3 Certification in Bakery & Patisserie with special honors of coming 2nd in her intake overall.  This then led to Kirstie becoming a Bakery Assistant in Artisan Bakery in the South Island.  Kirstie was powerfully mentored to learn every dimension of the bakery trade which is where her unique passion for cake decorating was revitalised.

Being a solopreneur and honoring her own lifestyle in the Bay area, Kirstie has created a homebased food registered kitchen from which to operate.   She is wholeheartedly supportive of local community and will be a regular at the local Farmers Markets.  Cakes Made With Love, is Kirsties trademark.  She of all people knows what it takes to uphold high standards of hygiene and exceed customer expectation.
