Marylou Bruys was born and raised here in Whakatane.

I have been a driving instructor and educator in the Eastern Bay of Plenty for 13 years, Covering Whakatane Opotiki and Kawerau, and I get great satisfaction from the many  different aspects of my job, particularly enjoying the wide variety of people I teach.

I feel the need for driver education has never been greater and I can teach you  
concepts that will assist you to drive safely and confidently.

Marylou’s Driving School offers a comprehensive range of driving services from
 learner licence training, lessons for your restricted training, defensive courses and 
full licence training, and with my caring attitude I can put you in the drivers seat faster
 than you think.
I run a monthly DEFENSIVE DRIVING COURSE which is a prerequisite for many jobs 
now. This course takes  just 9 hours but can instil a lifetime of safer driving strategies 
for any driver young or old. A great way to up skill your driving.

I am a  member of THE NEW ZEALAND  DRIVING INSTRUCTORS INSTITUTE, and I am
registered assessor and am always up skilling myself to keep up with any new road
